在5月24日-25日舉辦的第八屆中國國際預拌砂漿生產應用技術研討會上，阿克蘇諾貝爾專業化學品特性助劑亞太區商務總監林學賢(Lim Shueh Sean)先生接受中國建筑材料聯合會預拌砂漿分會的采訪，介紹了特性助劑業務部的可持續發展之路。

Last year, China’s Ministry of Housing andUrban-Rural Development released the 13th Five-year Plan for Building EnergyEfficiency and Green Building Development, which requires the philosophy ofenergy efficiency and green development to be carried out throughout the wholefield, whole process and whole industrial chain of architecture. “Green” seemsto have become a keyword in the industry. How do you see this trend? Whatproducts or solutions do you have to support green building development?
2017年，中國住建部印發了《建筑節能與綠色建筑發展“十三五”規劃》，要求全面倡導把節能及綠色發展理念延伸至建筑全領域、全過程及全產業鏈。綠色似乎已成為現在業內的關鍵詞，請問您如何看待這個趨勢？我們有什么產品或解決方案可以支持綠色建筑的發展？
A：
“Green buildings” is a key growth trend in China and the region.
o China is in the process ofrapid urbanization, and facing challenges on environmental issues and scarcityof natural resources.
o Buildings use 40% of the world’senergy, and this number in China will continue to increase with rapid urbanizationdevelopments.
o China’s government has setambitious goals of sustainable development.
o Government’s work plan onenergy saving and emission reduction during the 13th Five-year Plan period hasset the goal to increase the number of green buildings to 50% of newconstructed buildings by 2020.
o The Government is paying moreand more attention to green buildings and sustainable urbanization.Thisrepresents a huge growth potential in the demand for green building technologyas well as green building renovation. Important to note ,We are invited to jointhe 10th international technology conference on the renovation for existingbuilding to share the good practice and case study based on European experience,which will be held in May 28th,in Beijing.

Whether used asstandaloneadditives or in combination with one another, our products offer apowerful toolkit for thedevelopment of dry-mix mortar formulations for theconstruction industry.
o Our ELOTEX? product rangeoffers distinct benefitsin formulating products to very specific requirementssuchas the EMICODE EC1PLUS VOC requirements or GermanBfR XIV requirements forcontact with potable water, and,where required, assist formulators in meetingdemandingair quality standards for indoor use (e.g. LEED and Chinese GreenBuilding Label).
o ELOTEX FL2200 and FL2280 arefirst of their kind on the market to enable customers to significantly reducetotal volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions in their formulations.
o In doing so, our products allowcustomers to formulate environmentally friendly flooring products which improveindoor air quality and comply with the highest indoor environmentalrequirements (such as EMICODE EC1 PLUS) as well as international green buildingstandards (such as LEED and BREEAM). The award has been announced at theEnvironmental Leader Conference in Denver, US on May 16.

由于我們突出創新性和可持續發展性，5月16日在美國丹佛市舉辦的“環境領袖大會”上，易來泰兩款可再分散聚合物粉末產品FL2280和FL2200榮獲了“今日環境領袖與能源管理師”頒發的“年度最佳產品獎”，被公認為在地坪材料添加劑行業對客戶是具有環境效益的產品。FL2280和FL2200產品是市場上首款能夠大幅度降低客戶配方中揮發性有機化合物（VOC）排放總量的產品，且不含甲醛。

We understand 2018 is the 50 yearsanniversary of ELOTEX, one of your key brands for buildings and constructions.Could you please share some successful stories of this brand and the productsin the last 50 years?

In 2018 we are celebrating the 50thanniversary of ELOTEX? brand and establishment of our first polymer powdermanufacturing facility!
MILESTONES for ELOTEX? 1968, Construction of the firstredispersible polymer powder production plant in Moosleerau, Switzerland.
For 50 years, under the ELOTEX? brand, ourbusiness has been providing high quality products for the dry-mix mortarindustry. Our uncompromising focus on quality, reliability and innovation hasmade us a sought after partner of the global dry-mix mortar producers. Whatstarted as redispersible polymer power business, today ranks among the world’sleading producers of redispersible powders, specialty additives and celluloseethers for the construction industry.
The first 50 years of ELOTEX? brand havebeen marked by development from a single polymer powder which would, overnight,form a monolithic polymer block, to one of the most complete and innovativeportfolios of powder additives for the dry-mix mortar industry. We are planningto make the next years at least as exciting and as innovative as the last 50.

The Chinese building and constructionindustry is going through unprecedented development and change. In the past,ETICS dominated the specialty market segment. But now, CTA, water proofing,high quality skim coating and prefabricated ETICS for new buildings andrefurbishment have all been experiencing significantgrowth.
Stricter requirements and standardsregarding environmental protection provide a great number of new businessopportunities – with our complete and innovative portfolio of powder additiveswe are able to take a leading step. For instance with our recently awardedELOTEX FL2200 and FL2800, offering significant environmental advantages whilemaintaining high technical standards. With extremely low VOC andformaldehyde-free products, we not only improve indoor air quality but alsosignificantly reduce construction workers’ exposure to organic emissions.
New product innovations in our range of RPPswill enable us to meet the rising demand for 1K flexible waterproofing membraneproducts and underneath ceramic tiling,namelyfulfilling the standardJC/T2415-2017.

To demonstrate our unwavering commitment tothe industry globally, we are finalizing a market study to build a world-classcellulose ether plant. This study is focusing on creating a new facility toincrease production capacity for EHEC cellulosic ethers to help meet growingglobal demand. This will hopefully give our Chinese customers even more peaceof mind as well as offer them improved long-term supply security.
We continuously improve our product andprocess technology and work towards supplying tailor made products for the Chinamarket. Planned new product innovations will allow us to enter into a newlyemerging demand, such as one component flexible waterproofing membrane.
